On the morning of January 17, in Ho Chi Minh City, the signing ceremony of a strategic cooperation agreement between Syngenta Vietnam and Vietnam Fumigation Joint Stock Company (VFC) took place.

Joining the signing ceremony, we are honored to welcome the representative of the VN Plant Protection Department, the Southern Fruit Research Institute, Cuu Long Delta Rice Research Institute, the PAN Group, together with our business partners and the media.

To bring the most advanced solution using breakthrough technology in plant protection, support farmers in the agricultural production process and conquer the market, Syngenta Vietnam and Vietnam Fumigation Joint Stock Company (VFC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement. This has opened a new cooperation era between the two companies.

Syngenta is the world's leading group in the agricultural field, the headquarter is based in Switzerland, and operates in more than 100 countries and territories. In Vietnam, Syngenta has operated for more than 30 years, the company specializes in supplying pesticide products and crop seeds, and cooperates with Vietnamese enterprises to distribute their products to farmers.

VFC is the second largest enterprise in the pesticide supply market and is a member of The PAN Group. After 45 years of operation, the enterprise takes 7-8% of the Vietnam agro-pharmaceutical market’s sales. Aside from Syngenta, VFC also distributes for many world-leading agro-pharmaceutical companies such as Zenneca, Ciba, Russel, etc. In addition, VFC is also the first fumigation company in Vietnam, has always been No.1 and holds about 60% market share depending on the product type.

At the signing ceremony, the general manager of Syngenta Vietnam, Mr. Tran Thanh Vu stated: “Syngenta and VFC have always been important partners of each other, always working together in bringing the most advanced solution in crop science to farmers in all regions in the country. Syngenta’s products distributed by VFC such as Anvil, Rimdomil Gold, Tervigo, etc. help farmers increase their income. Continue to place farmers at the center, we will work together to bring more advanced solutions, increase productivity and agricultural product quality, meet farmers' expectations and bring Vietnam's agricultural products out to the world’s market, creating a new achievement for Vietnam's agricultural industry".

According to Mr. Vu, continuing on the road that we have walked on for the past 25 years, Syngenta Vietnam together with VFC will push further to tighten our strategic cooperation relationship. The signing ceremony today will open up a new page for the relationship of both sides. This is a very important event for Syngenta in the Vietnam market – a key market to develop.
