On january 17 in Ho Chi Minh city, a strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony was held between Syngenta Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Vietnam Fumigation Joint Stock Company (VFC)

Attendees at the signing ceremony included representatives from the Plant Protection Department, the Southern Fruit Research Institute, the Mekong Delta Rice Research Institute, PAN Group, along with business and media partners.

To deliver advanced solutions with breakthrough crop protection technologies, support farmers throughout agricultural production, and strengthen market expansion efforts, Syngenta Vietnam Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Vietnam Fumigation Joint Stock Company (VFC), opening a significant new chapter of cooperation between the two parties.

Syngenta is a leading global agricultural corporation headquartered in Switzerland, operating in more than 100 countries and territories worldwide. In Vietnam, Syngenta has been present for more than 30 years, specializing in the supply of crop protection products and seed varieties, while cooperating with Vietnamese enterprises to distribute products to farmers.

VFC is also the second largest enterprise in Vietnam’s crop protection chemical distribution market and a member of PAN Group. After more than 45 years of operation, the company accounts for approximately 7-8% of Vietnam’s agrochemical market revenue. In addition to Syngenta products, VFC also distributes products for many leading global agrochemical companies such as Zenneca, Ciba, and Russel. Furthermore, the company was the first provider of fumigation services in Vietnam and continues to maintain the leading market position with an estimated market share of around 60%, depending on the commodity category.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Tran Thanh Vu, General Director of Syngenta Vietnam Co., Ltd., stated: “Syngenta and VFC have always been key partners, standing shoulder to shoulder to bring the most advanced crop science solutions to farmers across every region of the country. Syngenta products distributed by VFC, such as Anvil, Ridomil Gold, and Tervigo, contribute to improving farmers' income.

Continuing to place farmers at the center, we will join hands to deliver advanced solutions that enhance the productivity and quality of agricultural products, meet farmers' expectations, and propel Vietnamese agricultural produce further into the global market, creating new milestones for Vietnam's agriculture industry.

According to Mr. Vu, building on a partnership that has lasted for more than 25 years, Syngenta Vietnam and VFC will further strengthen their long-term strategic cooperation. Today’s signing ceremony marks the beginning of a new chapter in the relationship between the two parties. This is considered a highly important event for Syngenta in the Vietnamese market, which remains one of the company’s key strategic growth markets.
