Preserved commodities fumigation

In both import and export activity, Vietnam is one of the largest manufacturers and consumers of agricultural products in the world, some of which are corn kernels, wheat, raw cashews, raw wood, etc. Therefore, fumigating commodities to ensure safety or minimize damages caused by insects is an important task for VFC's fumigation team.

• Here are some main types of storage fumigation:
  _ Fumigation of storage consignment using tarpaulin.
  _ Fumigation of silos and storage bins.
  _ Fumigation of outdoor consignment, etc.

In addition, with the experience gathered after more than 45 years of operation and through international cooperation programs, VFC has successfully advised many customers to apply for the Integrated Storage Pest Management program (ISPM) because this insect control program is systematic, scientific, proactive, and cost-effective.

Why are there insects in the production line even though we have cleaned it periodically?

With the biological properties of insects, many can live and hide in cracks, hidden corners of conveyor belts, buckets, etc, where it is difficult to access for cleaning, and sweeping. From there, insects can multiply and develop, infecting from one consignment to another, from semi-finished commodities to finished commodities, etc.
